Shuyu Lin is a passionate teaching artist, playwright, and choreographer. She has five years of teaching experience, and holds process drama and devised theatre workshops from elementary to college levels. As a playwright, Shuyu explores the topics of cross-cultural teenage developmental struggles, and adolescent psychology. She specially focuses on and experiments with adapting classic plays such as “Romeo and Juliet” to dramatic activities to facilitate students’ comprehension. Shuyu holds a BA in English from Fujian Normal University and is completing her MA in Educational Theatre and English at New York University. Shuyu believes in creating, implementing and assessing art-based pedagogy to make her classroom approachable and alive to students from diverse backgrounds.
